The delivery of vital services to our citizens is ultimately the result of a partnership between the departments of City government and the Vendor community, which provides the goods and services needed to support City operations. The Mission of the Purchasing Department is to ensure value for the City of Dayton departments by procuring goods and services at the lowest competitive price from competent vendors meeting specifications.  Activities of the personnel in the Purchasing Department shall be performed in a manner that guarantees the integrity of the purchasing process, and that all vendors and City personnel are treated equitably and professionally. This information will assist in a better understanding of the process to be followed to do business with the City of Dayton and also help Vendors or suppliers understand the role and responsibility involved in purchasing goods and services by the City of Dayton. The City encourages all companies to register as vendors and to participate in the competitive process initiated by the City to enable its effective and efficient operation.

CITY OF DAYTON

 

The City of Dayton plans to apply for the upcoming 2025-2026 Texas Community Development Block Grant Fund Program of the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). These services are being solicited to assist the City of Dayton in its application and administration of the TxCDBG CD contract, if awarded, to support eligible activities associated with the program in the City of Dayton.  Accordingly, the City of Dayton is seeking to contract with a qualified Professional Administrator or Service Provider (individual/firm) to prepare the application and/or administer the awarded contract.

Please submit your proposal to the address below. Submit 4 copies of your proposal of services and a statement of qualifications for the proposed services to the following address: Attn: Mendy Davis, 117 Cook Street, Dayton, TX 77535. Proposals must be received by the City of Dayton no later than 2:00pm on August 7, 2024 to be considered.  The City of Dayton reserves the right to negotiate with any and all individuals or firms that submit proposals, as per the Texas Professional Services Procurement Act and the Uniform Grant and Contract Management Standards.  Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises and Women Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals.
