The delivery of vital services to our citizens is ultimately the result of a partnership between the departments of City government and the Vendor community, which provides the goods and services needed to support City operations. The Mission of the Purchasing Department is to ensure value for the City of Dayton departments by procuring goods and services at the lowest competitive price from competent vendors meeting specifications.  Activities of the personnel in the Purchasing Department shall be performed in a manner that guarantees the integrity of the purchasing process, and that all vendors and City personnel are treated equitably and professionally. This information will assist in a better understanding of the process to be followed to do business with the City of Dayton and also help Vendors or suppliers understand the role and responsibility involved in purchasing goods and services by the City of Dayton. The City encourages all companies to register as vendors and to participate in the competitive process initiated by the City to enable its effective and efficient operation.

INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY

The City of Dayton is currently accepting bids from interested buyers to purchase 6.4213 acres of land owned by the City of Dayton located at 700 Hwy 90 in Dayton, Texas.

SUBMITTAL OF BID 

Bids will be submitted in sealed envelopes upon the blank bid form attached.  Submit two (2) complete sets of the bid, one (1) original marked “ORIGINAL,” and one (1) copy marked “Copy.”  Each bid must be completely filled out and SUBMITTED IN ORIGINAL FORM, complete with all supporting documentation.  Bids submitted by fax or electronically will not be accepted. Submittal of a bid in response to this solicitation for Bids constitutes an offer by the Bidder.  Bids which do not comply with these specifications/requirements may be rejected at the sole discretion of the City.  Bids must be filed with the City of Dayton, before opening day and hour.  No late bids will be accepted and will be returned to Bidder unopened (if properly identified.) 

BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN A SEALED ENVELOPE WITH THE CORRESPONDING BID NUMBER AND TITLE PROMINENTLY MARKED ON THE OUTSIDE LOWER LEFT-HAND CORNER OF THE BID ENVELOPE.
