INVITATION TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids addressed to the City of Dayton, Texas will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 for furnishing necessary materials, equipment, superintendence and labor for the construction of City of Dayton, Texas, Sawmill Lift Station Rehabilitation, generally described as the replacement of three (3) existing pumps with three (3) 40 hp Hydromatic pumps, removal and replacement of one 2-inch air release valve, pressure washing and repainting valves and piping, preparation of the wet well surface, blasting and cleaning the wet well structure, and recoating of the wet well, valve vault cleaning, and temporary bypass pumping set up, including related appurtenances. Alternative bid item includes the removal and disposal of all piping and valves and installation of piping and valves including related appurtenances.
Bids will be received at the City of Dayton, Planning Department, 111 N. Church Street, Dayton, Texas 77535. The bids will be publicly opened and read at said office at the time set forth. There will be a NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference with the Owner, Engineer, and Prospective Bidders at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the City of Dayton, Planning Department, 111 N. Church Street, Dayton, Texas 77535.
The right is reserved by the City of Dayton, Texas, as its interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received.
Bidding Documents are on file at www.civcastusa.com. There is no cost to view the plans, and printing can be done through the website. Hard copies of Bidding Documents will not be sold. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose.
Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to City of Dayton, Texas; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted.
Bids may be held by the City of Dayton, Texas for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds.
