The City of Dayton, Texas will receive bids for the City of Dayton, Texas – 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project until 2:00 p.m., CST on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the City of Dayton City Hall, 117 Cook Street, Dayton, Texas 77535. Any bids received after this time will be returned unopened. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the time set forth.
Bids are invited for work generally described as follows:
Improvements of selected existing City of Dayton streets through the rehabilitation of roadway pavement, near and around, the vicinity of the intersection of U.S. 90 and State Highway (SH) 321. This project shall include as Base Bid the rehabilitation of Waring Street, originating from SH 321 and terminating at FM 1008, with all other street rehabilitations included as various Additive Alternates.
There will be a Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid conference with the Engineer, Owner, and Prospective Bidders at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the City of Dayton, City Hall, 117 Cook Street, Dayton, Texas 77535.
The right is reserved by the City of Dayton, as the City’s interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received.
Bidding Documents are on file at www.civcastusa.com. There is no cost to view the plans, and printing can be done through the website. Hard copies of Bidding Documents will not be sold. Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose.
Bid Security, only in the form of 1) a certified or cashiers check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Dayton; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid.
Bids may be held by the City of Dayton for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to the contract award.
