Types of payments accepted are cash, check, money order, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and online payments.

Online Payments

The City of Dayton now offers online utility payments! There is a 3% convenience fee plus a $0.35 transaction fee. First-time users will need to register with your account number and last payment made. To find this information, you can contact the Utility Billing office at 936-258-2642, option 2, or it can be found on your bill. 

 E-Bills

If you would not like to receive paper bills and wish to only receive electronic bills, please contact the Utility Billing office at 936-258-2642, option 2.

Senior citizens (65+) are offered a 20% discount on their water and sewer rates. Seniors must provide their driver's license and either proof of homestead exemption or a current lease agreement in their name. Seniors are limited to using this discount on one account. Landlord accounts and trash services do not qualify for this discount. 

• Residential Rates are $22.95, plus tax with weekly pick-ups. 

• Residential Extra Can Rates are $6.93, plus tax. 

• Commercial Rates are $37.32, plus tax with weekly pick-ups. 

• Commercial Extra Can Rates are $25.25, plus tax.

If you have excess trash on occasion, you may purchase a pick up of additional bags through a pink tag system. The cost is $5.00 per bag.
